I agree, there is no place left for family programming. I guess the new leadership figures that people will gripe and complain and then stay with the channel. When viewership declines, then advertisers don’t want to pay large sums of money for audiences that are not watching. Brooks Darnell stars as Griffin in the movie. By the time Home & Family’s final season aired, the show was mainly hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison. Since the show’s fans had developed connections to those two, it begs a question, what are they up to now. Based on her Instagram account, it seems very clear that Matenopoulos has made some branding deals as she is blatantly promoting several products.

I support Hallmark’s decisions to be racially and sexually diverse. I don’t watch many shows on the regular netwoks, but I do enjoy the Hallmark channels, for complete escapism from the craziness of our world. I think it’s great if Hallmark is trying to be more diverse and inclusive.
And the woman who pretends to be Hillary Clinton with that fake username, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You are literal garbage AND illiterate! I bet you didn’t have a word to say about those treasonous traitors of January 06, 2021, all of them trying to kill Mike pence and Nancy Pelosi and take over our government, did you?
Storyline
I don’t think anything was wrong with their programming before all the changes. I have nothing against the LGBTQ community, but they have other networks to watch. We as Christians only had this network, and you ruined it for us. How do we get the PTB to listen to us? I am more than a little disappointed with the changes.
The guy who says nobody should be able to get married unless they can make a baby??? So you believe no woman over the age of 50 should be allowed to get married?????? Or a 25 year old woman who has had uterine cancer and can’t conceive?? Are you like this because you can’t get a date until your credit card clears?

I’ve been watching GAC Christmas movies. The movies are great with a lot of the same stars. The difference is the absence of all the woke BS being shoved down our throat by Hallmark. I can now let my 9 year old watch with me again.

I was already getting sad about how much LGBTQ was coming and invading the ONE place where we could just see normal. LGBTQ has everything else, do they need this too? And no, I’m not homophobic at all…just like to see normal every now and then. Why are you cancelling Home and Family? We viewers like that this show is not political or controversial.
On March 23, Hallmark Channel announced that Home & Family had been cancelled, and would air its final episode on August 4, 2021. One of the first holiday movies that went into production this year for Great American Family was Catering Christmas which stars Merritt Patterson and Daniel Lissing. Back then, Hallmark was airing movies in the show’s time slot, but this later changed. Now the channel will be airing reruns of “The Golden Girls” in the canceled show’s timeslot. I do hope Hallmark will change their mind, but I don’t think so. In today’s world wholesome family programming is something that is not wanted by the big networks.
Even though I felt like the cast of H & F was a bit too goodie goodie , the show was very popular and had so many interesting ideas and guests. Sorry to see the changes causing Hallmark heading into the dumpster. Yes, because nothing says ‘Christian values’ like the outrage of inclusions of people. Love one another, unless you’re by than cast stones! How dare Hallmark put a damper on the ‘white bread’ institutions of faith and movies.
On July 26, 2018, Cameron Mathison was named as Matenopoulos' new co-host, to assume his position in September with the launch of the seventh season. Its revival began on October 1, 2012, and moved to its current home, the Hallmark Channel. The former Home & Family host starred in A Kindhearted Christmas opposite Jenny McCarthy for GAC this past holiday season. Mathison previously starred in a variety of films for Hallmark Channel including At Home in Mitford with Andie MacDowell and A Summer to Remember with Catherine Bell. For fans who are confused by the show’s fate, it seems safe to assume that the COVID-19 shutdowns likely had a lot to do with Home & Family ending. After all, unlike Hallmark’s other content that can be filmed ahead of time, Home & Family’s production could be shut down over and over again any time COVID waves came through.

I do hope viewership will decline for Hallmark. Then, maybe they will see that their core base, the people-the viewers-build Hallmark. I’m so disappointed that Home and Family is being cancelled and of all the changes with the Hallmark channel. I am a retired senior and the Hallmark channel is all I watch and I have to pay for it too. You are making a big mistake making all these changes.

Zoe Saldana is attached to star as Joe with Nicole Kidman serving as one of the executive producers. Wagner will also have a role in front of the camera. Jill Wagner stars in the Mystery 101 series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries opposite Kristoffer Polaha who was also her co-star in Pearl in Paradise on Hallmark Channel.
